NANAKULI LANDFILL, Nanakuli, HI

The Nanakuli Landfill, located on the western coast of Oahu, Hawaii, focused on the construction and operation of a municipal solid waste composting and landfill facility on an approximately 172-acre site near Nanakuli.  The landfill consists of a scale house, a municipal solid waste receiving and processing building, a paved composting area, and a series of lined landfill cells.  D.L. Adams was called upon to measure construction and operational noise impact at the site to generate an Environmental Impact Statement.
