Prominently visible in the “up and coming” Kaka’ako Special Design District, the Pacifica Honolulu is a high-rise building with both commercial businesses and residential units.  With 41 stories on top of a 5-story podium, the structure stands as the second tallest building in Honolulu.  The first floor houses several restaurants, while the rest consists of 489 residential units.

D.L. Adams Associates provided acoustical design goals for sound isolation between residential units, as well as sound isolation from mechanical, electrical, and elevator systems.  Specific recommendations were made to quiet the A/C inside the residential units.
