Aspen Community School utilized both a BEST Grant and community raised funds to renovate their facilities, originally built in 1972. A new gym and a new K-8 classroom building were added, and the buildings were designed and constructed to achieve LEED Gold certification.
D.L. Adams Associates provided room acoustics, sound isolation, mechanical system noise and vibration consulting services for the new K-8 classroom building and new gym building.
The LEED for Schools Indoor Environmental Quality Prerequisite for Acoustical Performance was followed, and D.L. Adams Associates provided LEED documentation for the project.
