DLAA Founder Receives Laymon N. Miller Award for Excellence
The Laymon N. Miller Award for Excellence was presented to our founder, David L. Adams, during the National Council of Acoustical Consultants Meeting in Denver, Colorado in late July. This award is given to an individual who has consistently and over a prolonged period demonstrated exemplary acoustic consulting practices that lead to progress in environments within and around buildings, transportation systems, workplaces, recreational spaces, and other occupied areas, thereby enhancing the quality of life around them. David has had an extensive career with over 50 years’ experience in the acoustic industry, during which he founded this company. He exemplifies this award through his world-renowned projects, time as an acoustic educator, the work he provided to improve national standards, and his mentorships. His impacts span over continents, companies, organizations, and generations, exemplifying the vocation needed to receive this award.
